Packing

One more night and I'm about to embark on a journey of a lifetime. I'm sitting here, nearly packed, and figured I should take a quick break to create this blog. In all reality, it hasn't been a quick break as I tend to get carried away with graphics sometimes. Anywho, this blog is to help everyone (who's interested) keep up with what's going on with my trip! I figured it'd be easier to upload photos, videos, etc here instead of e-mailing all of you about my journeys. Sorry. No offense. I'm lazy.

Just in case you're wondering why my crazy-ass has decided to do this, it's really quite simple: I have time, I have money, I have no job-job, I have no kids, I have no life. It seems like the perfect time to travel more and figure myself out before my life gets hectic.

Back to packing...

Nearly everything is packed and ready to go. I've been going through my list of "should or shouldn't" items to bring. Weighing the pros and cons of such items is tedious but someone has to do it, and that someone is me. Hair dryer is getting stuffed in my suitcase even though I have the feeling the hot tropical sun will find a way to zap the moisture from my hair in no time. Same with the straightener. iPod, sorry love, but you're out. I wish I could fit 20 pairs of shoes into my tiny little suitcase but I figure I'll be coming home with more so it's stupid to bring them to collect dust.

This trip is kind of scary. Scratch that -- this trip is hella scary! I know where I'm going to be spending the first couple days but I've yet to lock down an apartment/guest house for the rest of my journeys. Its been said, dunno how many times, that finding one will be easier once I'm there; however, I was hoping to have that dealt with so I could just absorb everything the first few days. No doubt the first week or two will end up being stressful...grrr! I'm just hoping it's everything it's cracked up to be. Delhi is said to be the city of organized chaos. Unfortunately for me, I don't deal with chaos too well. We'll see how this goes. (:
